CCM/CCE Education Opportunities

The Michigan Court Administrators Association has partnered with the National Center for State Courts, Institute for Court Management to bring professional court management education to Michigan’s court leaders.

The goal of the program is to strengthen court leadership, expand professional knowledge, and build relationships among court professionals throughout Michigan.

Understanding the Programs

CCM and CCE provide court professionals with education focused on different areas of court management and leadership.

Certified Court Manager

CCM

CCM focuses on the practical management of court operations and provides court professionals with tools for managing people, processes, resources, and performance.

Course topics include:
Court performance and data • Budget and fiscal management • Caseflow and workflow • Workforce management • Project management • Purposes and responsibilities of courts
Certified Court Executive

CCE

CCE focuses on executive leadership and the broader organizational responsibilities involved in leading and advancing a court.

Course topics include:
Executive decision-making • Leadership • Educational development • Operations management • Public relations • Modern court governance • Visioning and strategic planning
Together, these educational opportunities address both the operational management and executive leadership skills important to effective court administration.
